Fear is no different than a Hallmark holiday (a new/fake holiday created to sell cards). Fear is an illusion. It is something we make up or create that adds emotion to “potential” outcomes or risk we are taking (see my post on RISK: https://maclackey.com/risk-take-a-full-dose-and-call-me-in-the-am/).

Fear is a choice. It is not a fact. It is not real, and it should not define you.

You can chose to ignore fear when it creeps into your mind. You can learn to squash it. And the fact is, as an entrepreneur, fear has no role in our lives. We simply cannot let fear get in our way or prevent us from considering what is possible. Sure, things might not work the first time you try them (Michael Jordan didn’t make his high school basketball team the first time), and there might be consequences (Steve Jobs was fired from Apple before he came back to change it’s destiny). But great entrepreneurs chuckle at themselves when they feel fear. They control it and dismiss it. Remind yourself fear is an illusion. Chuckle it away and get back to changing the world.
